Phillip Long founded Business Information Solutions 16 years ago. Today, he’s the CEO of which includes BIS (Business Office Solutions IT division), , BIS Designs (the web design and digital marketing division), and the Veritas Consulting Group. He loves all aspects of developing business solutions. He is heavily involved with all divisions of the company. From recognizing business problems to working with business owners, Phillip dedicates each day to developing valuable solutions for our customers.
Phillip represents the core values of by working with the tech team, being involved in product development, and staying busy with sales and marketing endeavors. This creates an atmosphere of enthusiasm and passion that spreads to each of us.
He began his entrepreneurial career when he started working for a local turf farmer right out of high school and jumped at the opportunity to develop new products to sell at market. This led him to begin studying to be a chemical engineer. Phillip’s passion for working in a lab and discovering innovative solutions brought him to right place at the right time. He soon met his founding partner, Kevin Welch, and together they formed Business Information Solutions in 2001.
Numerous awards and certifications have been given to him from the eFolder Disaster Recovery Partner Counsel. He is a 2010 Managed Service Solutions Provider graduate. Additionally, this year, Phillip was awarded by CRN as an innovator in the field of managed services for the SMB market by being included in the 2016 CRN MSP 500: Pioneer 250 list.
Phillip invests much of his time and energy into the company as he looks at this as his calling. Knowing he can provide a product with an effective and efficient process that simultaneously benefits the company’s marketing and sales efforts, while also continually training the team to be their best, are the rewarding outcomes that continue to drive him and the company to success.
Outside of work, Phillip enjoys spending time poolside with his family and friends, cooking in his outdoor kitchen and making craft beers.
