The South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce recognizes Mary Kelley of BIS Designs as the South Baldwin Chamber Diplomat of the Month for June 2014.
Mary began serving as a Diplomat in January 2012 and actively participates in the program by volunteering for Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies, Leadership Series, Business After Hours and special events, including the Alabama Festival of Flavor, BBQ & Blues and the Magnolia Run. “Volunteering has always been important to me and I believe supporting chamber events through volunteer efforts, makes our community a better place.”
Mary joined BIS in April, 2011. My job helps showcase businesses and I have built relationships with so many great people by volunteering with the chamber. “My involvement in the South Baldwin Chamber and more specifically, the Diplomat Program has given me the opportunity to meet with business and community leaders more readily, had I not been involved, which is key to making strong relationships. In addition to serving as a Diplomat, Mary is a volunteer with the Alabama Free Clinic in Robertsdale,” I feel it so important to give back when we can, and help our community”.
Being a Diplomat is a tremendous opportunity to volunteer your time, get to know your business community and promote your business while representing the chamber. If you are interested in becoming a Diplomat for the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce please contact Laura Giggy at 251-943-1036. Special thanks to our sponsor, Starr Textile Services.
